Bonnie Hunter Easy Street Part I

Oh my gorsch!  It has been a LONG long long time since I have posted.  Nearly a month!  Where does the flippin' time go?

Now, besides the ten thousand projects I have going, the ladies from my quilt group have talked me into yet another.  Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt- Easy Street.  She promises this to be a bit easier than Orca Bay.  Which I have to say was absolutely gorgeous, at least the one that one of the ladies did from my group.

Who is Bonnie Hunter- a quilter and author.  You can learn more about her here at Quiltville, Quips and Snips.  You can learn more about Easy Street, here

She said, no whining.  In the best voice I can muster... We had to make 192 four patches.  Yowser!  But you know what I kind of enjoyed the mindlessness of it all.

I, too LOVE the mindlessness of these mysteries of Bonnie's, and one of the main reasons I so look forward to it each year. Last year was my first at attempting one of her mysteries, the Orca Bay, and while I have ALL the blocks and borders sewn, it's still waiting in the wings to be put together - hopefully after Christmas, along w/Easy Street.

After spending all year making designing decisions about quilt project after quilt project, this is such a stress buster for me not having to make any of those decisions, just sew and sew and sew - the biggest decision I had to make beside fabrics was which machine I was going to use, sheer FUN! ;-)

Looks like you're well on your way...

I love seeing what everyone has pulled out for the background and their choice for constant! Thank you for sharing yours, Sharyn

I LOVE your grey! what a great fabric. and it is quite nice that someone takes over the thinking part on the quilt design process for us once in a while and all we have to do is pick fabrics, cut and sew. How hard can it be. Quilt on!
