Eight Is Great

This is my ten year old daughter, ehem, holding up her eight is great quilt.  She designed all the animals for appliqué when she was eight.  I pieced it.  I did such a bad job of it because I was new, first time designing a pattern.  I was such a  newbie.  It had puckers all over it.  Frankly I was afraid of quilting it because I thought it would be hard not to get a fold over.  Thankfully it came out pretty decent.  It does have its quirks don’t get me wrong...

But it is so sweet and will be an heirloom.
