Love Is In The Air

I made one of these heart blocks for my daughter.  The plan was to make just two- mug rugs for my girls.  And then I kinda got carried away making heart blocks.  I guess I was in a Valentine mood.  I may make a table runner out of it.  Its not really my decor style but maybe I will give them away to someone who would appreciate them.  They are so stinkin' cute.

small squares 2 by 2 inches
4 blue
5 red

corner square in white 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches


corners for the side rectangles 2 x 2 inches

side rectangles 3 1/2 x 5
1 blue
1 red

Mug Rugs

You may recognize the fabric from the apron I won.  Thank you Crystal and I mean no disrespect but I have tons of aprons and I really liked the fabric.  I repurposed it.

Mug rugs are such great practice for applying binding.  I am totally gearing up to put binding on my about to be finished quilt.  This one is the one I speak of.  A pre class, learning, lots of love kinda quilt.
